2022 Teen Driver Challenge
Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Carmine Marceno, in partnership with the Sheriff’s Youth Activities League (SYAL), the Florida Sheriffs Association and title sponsor Allstate present the Teen Driver Challenge! This course teaches techniques and life saving skills used by professional drivers in a “hands-on” driving environment. Students learn vehicle dynamics, safe driving practices and responsible decision making through the classroom and driving exercises.
STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TEEN DRIVER CHALLENGE ONCE THEY HAVE MET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS
- Teens aged 15-19
- Possess a valid FL permit or driver’s license
- Have a minimum of 60 hours of driving experience
Each course consists of a Friday classroom session from 5pm—8pm, followed by a driving session on Saturday 7am—10am.
Classes are held at Lee County Sheriff’s Office Edison Mall Community Outreach Center - 4125 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
