Sales Supervisor

The Sales Supervisor is a key-holding associate whose primary responsibility is to support management in general operations of the store to ensure a great customer/guest experience and maximize profitability.

Areas of Responsibility

Supervises associates engaged in all selling and operational activities, including managing inventory, ringing POS transactions and performing services for guests.

Promotes guest service by ensuring that associates are greeting and assisting guests, responds to guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Performs basic operations activities, including cash handling and reporting, changing prices, handling merchandise and performing opening and closing duties; reviews time sheets and other payroll documentation for accuracy – submits as appropriate.

Monitors associate sales activities and productivity; acknowledges and communicates performance to associates, motivates and trains associates to achieve full potential.

Maintains an awareness of guests to increase service levels and reduce security risks; remains current on operational policies regarding payments and exchanges and security practices.

Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; presents and displays merchandise in accordance with current promotions and standards.

Supports and administers receipt and dis[patch of inventory and supplies according to company policy.

Models selling expectations by utilizing various techniques and communicating product knowledge to guests; recommends merchandise selections or helps to locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs and desires.

Builds and maintains solid guest following by building loyalty and clienteling.

Maintains standards in merchandising handling, presentation, loss prevention and all other duties as directed by management

Participates in and facilitates visual directives, including execution of planograms and merchandise replenishment.

Promotes guest service by ensuring that associates are greeting and assisting guests, responds to guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Assists in the development of store associates; interprets KPI reports and delivers coaching as needed; provides feedback to Store Manager for associate performance appraisals and evaluations.

Performs other duties as assigned/required.


Education / Experience Requirements

Educational Background

Minimum HS/GED, Associates Degree or College Degree preferred

Experience

1 -3 years in a retail environment, with sales of luxury or jewelry preferred

 

Equivalent combination of experience and education accepted

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Punctuality – regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives.
  • Flexibility – ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays required
